Mir2
Installation & Performance
Smack Mellon Gallery, Brooklyn, NY
October 2001
Mir2 was a multimedia installation and performance that used the international space station as model for collaboration. The project invited more than 20 artists to work on individual parts for the larger station. Utilizing the tall space of Smack Mellon, the station hung from the ceiling. Periodically during the exhibition, we manned the station as cosmonauts. Our activities and communications were broadcast to a ground site communications center accessible to viewers via video and audio hookups.
