"The 2006 Peekskill Project featured art located in three distinct areas of Peekskill, including (1) the waterfront, (2) Peekskill’s historic commercial district, and (3) Main Street - a mixed-use arterial roadway that connects the waterfront, the historic district and HVCCA."
To connect the 3 sites of the Peekskill Project and indulge the commercial undertones in its cultural agenda, I brought a bus load of tourists to town. The tour was organized from New York City. We boarded in Time Square. Each passenger received a floral
cap and city map. With their caps, passengers
could receive discounts at local restaurants, shops, and museums. Floral-capped tourists were spotted everywhere in Peekskill. They were as visible as the town. Photos taken by the tourists were later taped to the windows of Flo's Dry Cleaning across from the train station. During the ride, passengers were treated
to self-made tour videos including the interactive Famous Faces in Peekskill. Can
